La Coop fédérée regroups over a hundred local wholesalers benefiting of services related to supply chain, management, finance, and communication. The co-operation offers increased sales and negotiation power to its affiliates. Each local co-operative member of the federation is able to operate one or several retail stores and can develop at its own pace to reach its growth objectives.

Three sectors are the heart of its activities: agriculture supplies; hardware & agriculture machinery; Sonic petroleum, the biggest independent petroleum and propane distributor in Quebec.

Van Houtte Café owns one factory in Vancouver, two in Montreal and operates the largest coffee distribution network in North America with over 9 million pounds of coffee sold annually. The company counts 75 sales points and 52,000 clients. INFOLOG has been mandated to implement new work procedures and logistics software providing improved space and physical inventory management, as well as an overall improved effectiveness of Montreal’s distribution center. The goal was to minimize product search and preparation errors, and to optimize the employee’s productivity.

More than 4,000 pallets are stocked during peak period in the 55,000 sq. ft. distribution center. In average, 450 pallets are shipped monthly but during peak period the capacity can reach 5,000 pallets per month. Louis Garneau Sports, after its site expansion in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures by building a brandnew 75,000 sq. ft. warehouse that will be using the very best warehousing and handling technology : G2000TM withstands the distribution operations by allowing a complete product tracking, interfaced with JBA’s System 21 – Style enterprise system. 
The project was completed in 5 months, allowing Louis Garneau Sports inc. to start out the new summer season with a quality tool distinguishing it from competitors by offering world-class customer service. Tree individuals were involved in the project, two for operations and one for IT.
